  • Use caution.
  • Use good common sense.
  • Always use your fall-restraint system with our tree stands.
  • Inspect our tree stand before each use.
  • Inspect your fall-restraint before each use.
  • Wear your fall-restraint system 100% of the time.
  • Practice using our tree stand in conjunction with your fall-restraint system at a low and safe elevation, learn how to get out of your fall-restraint system should you fall, and develop a plan to get safely back to the ground. (The time to find out you know too little about some feature of our tree stand or your fall-restraint system is before, not after, you ascend the host tree to a dangerous height.)
  • Never consume any quantity of alcohol, medication, prescription drug, or any other substance that inhibits your thinking ability while using one of our tree stands.
  • Never raise or lower a loaded weapon at any time with anything.
  • Never ascend or descend the host tree with any weapon, equipment, or object in your hands or attached to you person.
  • Prior to ascending, connect your unloaded weapon and equipment to our tree stand with a haul rope or cord of sufficient length to reach the desired hunting height. After you have reached the desired height, have leveled and secured your stand, and are sitting down, use the haul rope or cord to raise and lower your weapon or equipment.
  • Never fall asleep in one of our tree stands.
  • When using one of our climbing tree stands, always place feet in an outward position when climbing as shown in Figure 1.
  • When using one of our climbing tree stands, never hunt with the top or bottom section tilted downward as shown in Figure A.
  • When in the hunting position, our climbing tree stand should always be level as shown in Figure B.
  • Never step out of one of our climbing tree stands unless it is flat on the ground.
  • When using one of our climbing tree stands, make sure the top and bottom sections are connected with a rope or cord, so you can safely pull the bottom section back into position if it slips from your feet. The cord on our ADJUSTER™ tree stand will act as a double for this purpose.
  • Never use the top rail of one of our climbing tree stands as a footrest, prop, safety device, brace or fall guard.
  • Never climb over ten (10) feet up the host tree.
  • Choose a host tree that is suitably fit for the type of climbing tree stand you purchased. If the host tree is less than eight (8) inches in diameter, good constant contact and compression between the throat and back blade cannot be maintained.
  • Your weight is the only thing that generates the force necessary to maintain good contact and compression between the throat and the back blade of a climbing tree stand and the host tree, so never increase or decrease this force by bouncing up and down or shifting your weight to one side or the other.
  • Never climb a dead, decomposed, deformed, or diseased host tree.
  • Never use on of our climbing tree stand to climb a leaning tree.
  • Never leave one of our tree stand out in the weather for extended time periods where it will lose strength over time from oxidation or rust, even it if is made of aluminum.
  • Repaint our tree stands after each season to prolong their lives.
  • Inspect our tree stand carefully before each use. If you have any concerns about the strength or integrity of one of our tree stands or its ability to function properly, always err on the side of caution and either repair it properly or discard it.
  • Never exceed the specified maximum weight limit of our tree stands.
  • Never bump or lean against the top section of one of our climbing stands while standing.
  • Never place your foot on the rail of the top section of one of our climbing tree stands while standing.
  • Never climb a tree with one of our climbing tree stands with knots, limbs, or other obstructions in the climbing path.
  • Never use any tree stand if you have dizzy spells, heart problems, or physical limitations.
  • Never use one of our tree stands during wet, icy, or thunder and lightning conditions.
  • Never use one of our tree stands to climb anything but trees.
  • Always take with you an alarm, whistle, flashlight, cell phone, or two-way radio to signal for help.
  • Never allow anyone under the age of sixteen (16) to use one of our tree stands.
  • Never allow anyone between the age of sixteen (16) and adulthood to use one of our tree stands without constant supervision.
  • Make sure that anyone who uses one of our tree stands understands and appreciates the dangers and risks associated with climbing, even with a fall-restraint system.
  • Never allow anyone to use one of our tree stands without first requiring him or her to read and fully understand our INSTRUCTIONS, WARNINGS, AND SAFETY RULES.
